This
certificate went into great detail when it comes to the
setting up of spray equipment and the spraying of premium sports turf
such as
rugby and football stadia as well as golf greens and fairways

Parks
Department of the City of Durban
I
worked for the Parks Department of the City of Durban from
about March - April 1971 until the end of February 1998.
I
was trained by the Parks Department of the City of Durban
during the first months of my employment as a student in both the use
of horticultural
pesticides, fungicides, Nematicides, herbicides and Molluscicides.
I
had at least 25 years of experience in the use of both
pesticides and herbicides while working for the Parks Department of the
City of
Durban.
I
both calibrated and operated knapsack type sprayers as
well as tractor operated spray rigs for use on sports fields Parks
Department
of the City of Durban.
The
following is a list of the main agrochemicals,
pesticides and herbicides applied while I was employed by the Parks
Department
of the City of Durban. These agrichemicals were applied by knapsack
sprayer,
tractor mounted boom sprayers on sports and amenity turf as well as by
hand.

From
1971 till 2007 I was a joint equal joint partner in the
wholesale and retail nursery Bluff Tropical Nursery, selling a range of

and exotic, outdoor and indoor ornamental plants.

of our services was the management of turf grass where
the application of both Herbicides and Pesticides was carried out.

the prescribed study and testing on the 14 April 2005
I was awarded a Growsafe Certificate of Qualification allowing me to
apply
agrichemicals in accordance with the New Zealand Code of Practice for
the
management of Agrichemicals NZS 8409. Certificate number S67537
After
further training and testing I was tested and approved
as an Approved Handler to use store and dispose of Agrichemicals as
defined
inNZS8409 on the 15.06.2006. Certificate number 28.724
